• Family : PIERIDAE
• Wingspan : 50-70mm
• Colour : The upperside is dull white and the underside is finely striated with light brown or dark grey.
• Habit : Energetic butterfly, flies close to the ground in a powerful manner. While resting, the wings are closed over the back. Feeds on flowers of herbs and shrubs like Cajanus cajan, Lantana camara, Sesbania sesban, Momordica charantia etc.
• Larval Host Plants : C. sophera, Cassia fistula, C. siamea, C. tora
• Location : Throughout West Bengal
