• Scientific Name : Orinoma damaris (Gray)
• Family : NYMPHALIDAE
• Wingspan : 75-80mm
• Colour : Creamy white on UP with broadly dark brown veins, bright orange basal half of cell on UPF with two black dots.
• Habit : Flight is weak,close ro ground. Keeps among the grass and undergrowth. Flies in and around forest clearings between 900 to 2000m (recorded from Rupang valley, Buxa Tiger Reserve at an elevation of 900m). On the wing during May, June, Oct. and Nov. Mimics Milkweed butterflies and Whites.
