  • Colour : Hind wings are brilliant blue, forewings are brown and black with two distinct white bands and yellow-orange spots.
  • Habit : One of the prettiest of Indian butterflies, seen commonly in dry, open tract. It is active during the hottest part of the day. In the plains it flies all round the year. It rests with its wings spread flat and facing the sun.
  • Larval Host Plants : Justicia procumbens, Hygrophila auriculata, Antirrhinum oronitum, Justicia neesii
