Description

- Scientific Name : Ypthima hiiebneri (Fruhstorfer)

- Wingspan : 30-40mm
- Colour : Greyish brown with three tornal ocelli and one apical ocellus.
- Habit : One of the commonest butterflies found throughout India. Spends long time on the flowers like Tridax procumbens, Clerodendron serratum etc. probing deep in each flower; modest flier and does not go far with halting a few times, always keeping close to ground.
