• Colour : Large, red-bodied black swallotail. Tail with a double red spot. UP of wings black.
• Habit : Slow, lazy, sailing flight, often high above trees, in leisurely manner in the river valleys. Seen in forests from 300 to 1500m. On the wings between March and Nov. Comes to flowers.
• Larval Host Plants : Aristolochia punjabensis, Aristolochia griffithi, A. shimadai
