Description

- Wingspan : 70-85mm
- Colour : Male upperside bright yellow with an yellowish green base. Its underside is rich green with silvery spots. The female mimics the Plain Tiger. The male looks similar to Common Leopard in upperside.
- Habit : Commonly found in the North Bengal hills; prefers open areas and cultivated fields; They rest on the ground with their wings closed, sometimes basks with their wings three-fourth open. Photographed at Mongpoo.
